I haven't found a place other than com.xpn.xwiki.api.Document where the
properties of a xwiki document are described, in detail I mean. Of course, some
of them need no explanation. But in the case of "parent" property (being the
subject of this issue) I've got only "return the name of the parent document"
(a circular definition). Right now, I don't know what the "parent" property
really means in the xwiki context. Moreover, are there any rules that govern
the parent-child relation over xwiki documents? Is there a way to see the tree
of documents within a space or within the whole xwiki instance from the web
interface? I just know that if the text " Sandbox: Welcome to your wiki >
Training Zone" apears in the top-left corner of the page it means that "Welcome
to your wiki" is the parent of "Training Zone", both being in the "Sandbox"
space (?).
Also, the title of the issue is "Set parents to all pages...". But shouldn't be
at least one page with no parent? I mean the "root" of the tree (the "roots" of
the forest).
I have written an xmlrpc test to detect orphaned pages, but I'll wait for your
response before making the patch.
