Allen Wittenauer commented on YETUS-199:
----------------------------------------

Following up form YETUS-189:

\-\-skipprnorep is meant to drop functions that are both private and not
replaceable. This allows users to (albeit dangerously!) replace internal
functions with their own.

What might be good to do is to really replace the current skip functionality
with some sort of filtering capability instead. This would avoid command line
overloading of options and cover all cases.

> add option to shelldocs to only generate docs for functions expressly labeled
> "public"

> we use shelldocs to publish docs for precommit. I want to call out the docs
> for our supported API, which is just the things labeled public.
> add an option to limit output to public functions, so I can easily generate
> the docs for our api.
