Allen Wittenauer commented on YETUS-229:
----------------------------------------

Some notes:

Current Jenkins mode:

plugins:
- console ee output
- hadoop's native flags \[ASF-only!]
- github disables write when not in jira mode
- jira exit's immediately on unmatched JIRA RE \[ASF-only?]
- jira disables write when not in jira mode

test-patch.sh:
- if patchdir gets removed, report value of $NODE_NAME \[ASF-only?]
- always assume PATCH_OR_ISSUE is in fact a bug system # \[ASF-only?]
- INSTANCE handling ($\{EXECUTOR_NUMBER})
- always turn on parallel tests
- auto resetrepo
- in reexec mode, report it to the bug system
- testresults url in test results \[ *specifically* Jenkins!]
- patch_dir mv capability \[ASF-only?]
- unit tests always run

To-do:
- docker container/image delete should be roped off
- killing stuck containers should be added \[ASF-only?]

> split --jenkins up

> Really, --jenkins is keyed towards the ASF. It should really be split up
> into two or more chunks, one that is still specific to the ASF and at least
> one more that enables certain functionality independent of being on an ASF
> box (e.g., a --robot or --automated or whatever).
