The build.sh additionally relies on the python-dateutil module for the imported
dateutil.parser. It would be helpful to also check this dependency upfront as
is done for Java, Maven, Ruby, etc.
Realize this is a temporary item until the unified build comes along, but would
be nice to cover in the interim for any Python novices such as myself.
