Sean Busbey commented on YETUS-537:
-----------------------------------
HBase relies day-to-day on a personality within our repository, but we
periodically send what we have back over into Yetus as an exemplar for a few
reasons:
* It helps other users see how we solved a problem using Yetus
* It serves as a gut-check that we aren't taking outlandish liberties while
using Yetus in anger
* It increases the likelihood that one of our project specific tests will find
wider use and become a proper yetus test-patch wide plugin.
Rephrased, I think the above come down to:
* we want to help yetus because yetus helps us
* we want yetus to help us use it with an eye towards easing our own long term
maintenance costs
So far as cadence for pushing updates back upstream to yetus, we don't really
have one. I'll probably do another one soon because we have a bit of overlap
with Hadoop recently.
