I've got a partially rewritten gradle.sh that basically works with the existing 
Docker by utilizing the gradle wrapper to download and install.  While I'm 
there, I'm also fixing Spotbugs and Checkstyle support since they are both 
broken as well.  As soon as I finish the checkstyle work (which is tricky since 
gradle checkstyle only provides html and xml output), I'll post a PR branch for 
you to try out [~pierresmits]
