This is a better default, definitely. The only complaint I have left is that the function name is wrong. It's not toggling the visibility of all messages, (which would be a totally insane thing to do of course). The positive-sense operation would be something like notmuch-show-open-all. So maybe a function that does both would be something like notmuch-show-open-or-close-all ? -Carl
