Hi all, after yesterday discussion on IRC I looked at some ways how to speedup the initial run of notmuch new. It turned out that with a few pretty simple changes I'm able to reduce the time by about 30% (from 1h 46m to 1h 14m on ext4, 200k messages, 3GB).
