That is, we already do rely on the GMIME library for this parsing (etc.), so that's the place where this issue needs to be fixed (and has been). Hopefully, after the imminent Debian release, the version of the library will be updated, or someone (we, I guess) will propose backporting this patch, and get it accepted.
