Check argc mainly to fix unused parameter warning:

test/symbol-test.cc:7:14: warning: unused parameter ‘argc’ [-Wunused-parameter]
  int main(int argc, char** argv) {
               ^

This makes more sense than telling the compiler it's unused on
purpose.
