You could be hitting https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70354 although that's unclear to me... most of the people with that issue have GK106's and it's 99% reproducible for them, whereas it's 10% for you. And they have it as a secondary GPU, whereas I assume there's no intel gpu exposed in your system.
That said, no additional words of wisdom from me =/ What kernel are you using? There have been some fixes to the context switching logic recently (kernel 4.0), perhaps they affect your scenario?
