Looking at Ben’s tree, it does not look like the GP106 chipset is recognised
(which the 1060 use, as opposed to the GP104 for the 1070 and 1080).
Try booting with nouveau.modeset=0: that will disable Nouveau, and should
(hopefully) let you finish installing.
