I'm experiencing graphical issues on my Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS since early november 2024 after upgrading from Kubuntu 22.04 LTS which functioned without problems. The graphical shell crashes and freezes in certain situations, now in x11 and Wayland, both of them. I have already done a bug report: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/nouveau/-/issues/395
The night-color problem in x11 seems to be solved - I uninstalled gammastep indicator. I didn't notice that it was installed on my system, because it wasn't displayed. It was only when I updated my system two days ago that it suddenly appeared as an installed program.
I would like to continue using the system, but it is still almost unusable and it is very annoying, everytime my desktop is freezing and crashing. There is no communication after I reported this as a bug, so I don't know, if there is someone already working on debugging it or if there will be a solution at all. I don't know what to do. And I also don't want to compel a solution from you here and now, but is there something I can do and what could help you more in finding the problem or what could speed up the whole process of finding the bug? I'm willing to do whatever could help you with troubleshooting. Do you need additional specific informations about my system? Should I test something on my system? Do you need a more specific description of the problem?
I'm just asking if it is possible to communicate about this and to get a response at all, because I'm some kind of "hanging in limbo" concerning this problem, if you take my meaning.
