Hi Tim, I have a rather subjective question regarding Nova. A lot of work I do involves writing and running software on games consoles and very limited handheld hardware etc. I am always on the lookout for a good audio engine to run on these systems. In the past I have ported PDa to a couple of systems, but Pd and PDa are kind of annoying to cross-compile and separate from their dependencies.
My question is, how easy will it be to take the non-GUI core of Nova and port it to lightweight systems? What will be the issues that I face? Is it easy to have patches stored as memory blobs, for example on flash ROM, and load them into the Nova engine using a function call, rather than loading from disk? Thanks for your time. Best, Chris. ------------------- http://mccormick.cx _______________________________________________ nova-dev mailing list [email protected] http://klingt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nova-dev http://tim.klingt.org/nova
