Hi all

Some of you may noticed that I singed up as mentor. I want to introduce me a little bit closer, to this community.

My name is Raphael Bircher, and I live in a small village in Switzerland (Malans GR). I'm self emploeed in the IT World at the moment. I have 10 years of experiance in Quality Assurance on a varius of plattforms. I started in Open Source in 2005 at the OpenOffice.org Project and than switched to Apache with the OOo Project in June 2011. I'm PMC Member from the Apache OpenOffice Project and since two weeks IPMC Member too.

But more interesting than the technical background is my personal story. I was born with a strong Cerebral Palsy (a physical disability). The Doctors said, I will never walk. With near six years I make my first indipendet steps. With 9 years I started with sport. With 12 I allready trained every day. With 19 I was one of the pioniers who introduced Handicap Floorball. With 20 Years I started to train with non-disabled people. With 25 I got the diagnose Cancer (Lymphoma). But the chemo therapie can't stop me doing my daily trainings. But I find out, that sport can be much more than winning. I'm sure Sport is therapie and my goal is to walk normal.

You see, I'm the last one who give up. And that's the reason why I singed up as mentor. We all know, it looks not realy good for NPanday. But I see people here who are willing to fight for it. If we comme together we can not only save NPanday, we can make it a successor!

At least, I like to say thanks to Dennis for the work as mentor util now, and wish us all a good collaboration.

Greetings Raphael
