I too doubt P will be at the VMA's. He doesn't really have anything
to promote at the moment, unless he is really trying to get 3121 gold
status lol.
As far as Ultimate, I think the choice of trax was limited by P
himself... one of the dudes involved in the project posted heavily at
P.org and HQ about the trials and tribulations in assembling the set,
including the label wanting to respect P's wishes on what tracks would
make it and what would not (for example, Erotic City and Sexy MF I
believe were early picks that were excluded due to language).
I'm not all that excited about the song selection, but it is good to
get some of those B-sides in CD quality, and other tracks with better
equalization (not sure if "remaster" is the right word). On songs
like "Controversy" you can definitely hear the difference when
compared to the original CD release.

1st - what's the over/under on prince appearing/performing at the VMAs?

2nd - what songs do you think are missing from Ultimate Prince? What
songs don't seem to belong?
I'm amazed that they could cut Adore or Do Me Baby. And I never
understand how Money Don't Matter 2 Night always makes the best of. Good
song but there are much better tracks for a retrospective.

Ultimate Prince should have been 4 or 5 CDs. With more b-sides and some
outtakes, Etc. It should have been called "Umm sorta Ultimate Prince". I
don't know why they wasted there time on another greatest hits. They did
it
