Hi everyone,
Just back from night 2 which was great! Club was a bit more prepared for all
us fan club members tonight so the lineup process etc. was smoother. There
were a lot more club members tonight so we represented well! They let club
members in around 10pm and unbelievably, DJ Rashida played the exact same
music as the night before. We were all pretty surprised by that. We grooved
along anyway and suffice to say, Ive seen UTCM and Graffiti Bridge a lot
this weekend. Prince came on just after midnight and played until 1:50. The
setlist was almost identical to night one with the exception of Around the
World in a Day (wow dont think Ive ever heard this one live!) and encore
with Get on the Boat. Purple Rain was not performed tonight. Tonight Prince
started the show wearing and orange suit and came out later with the same
orange pants but a white coat as his top. Luscious in both!
Overall, I thought Prince was more relaxed than the night before, taking his
time on songs and exploring the crowd a bit. He seemed to be having a great
time. This time I was all the way stage right. But the best part is that
this was the area where he would come and hang out during some songs and
when he did
oh my
he was RIGHT. ABOVE. ME. Tempting as it was to touch him,
rub him, grab him, we all resisted and absolutely squealed when he would
come over for a visit. I swear one time he looked right down at me and gave
me a huge smile. If it was my imagination, I dont care. HA!
Some highlights from the show:
Mike Phillips played a bit more than the night before. Prince was a bit more
playful tonight and during one of Mikes solos, Prince bent down and put on
a pair of the white sunglasses that the Twinz use as props. These are big
sunglasses and he put them on during Mikes solo and pretended he was blind,
wandering around, arms outstretched, hamming it up. It was very funny, and
extremely cute
Prince also took off from the stage after 7 and walked around
the tables, taking the mic with him
As Prince was walking off stage between
numbers I yelled out We love you Prince and he turned and blew a kiss in
my direction (awwwwwww!)
Prince threw one towel out in the crowd tonight
(last night he threw 2)
Prince danced around a lot tonight, I could tell he
was having fun. You know those moves where he gyrates but looks so smooth

really enjoyed screaming along to 7 and Anotherloverholenyohead I forget
how fun those songs are live
Cora stepped out from behind the drums during
17 Days again and girl was dressed UP! How she manages to wail on the drums
in a short fitting dress and high heels I will never know
The Twinz were
shaking so hard tonight they lost an earring near us
Tonight during the
second or third number, they shot purple streamers out into the crowd from
the edges of the stage. They did it the night before too. At one point,
Prince asked us how we were doing and did we want to keep going, then asked
Anyone going to Kingdom Hall in the morning? He didnt get too many
responses on that one! LOL. At one point early in the show, Prince walked
over to Morris and started playing on his keyboard with him. I knew then
that Prince was in a more playful mood
Do you love me as much as I love
you? Prince asked and then teased us a bit You dont love me (screams
erupt). No one brought up on stage tonight to dance. Hopefully last night's
ass-grabber didn't scare Prince off.
During our wait inside, they put up a message on the screens that the
official afterparty was at 3121 right after the show. I stayed about 30
minutes and then headed out. Didnt look like much was going to happen but
if Prince did come out and mingle or god forbid, PLAY, Ill be kicking my
tired butt in the AM.
