I have coached Theresa. I have been and continue to be on the Development Advisory Board. I try to bring awareness about the organization to as many people as I can who have any interest. I try to connect people around it. And this is not enough. It is what I can do alone. I need your help to do more. And I want to thank those you who have stepped forward already! http://catcomm.pledgebank.com/OmidyarNET * <http://www.pledgebank.com/OmidyarNET>* There is a great abundance of organizations striving to improve the world. For this we are very lucky indeed. I choose to support Catalytic Communities because I feel it is a leveraging organization. With a budget under $100,000 this organization is able to uplift community leaders and grow a database of community project globally and in three languages. When I give to Catalytic Communities, I know the money multiplies in the impact it makes by facilitating non-monetary resource flows at the Casa and through the database. Join me, dear friends, in keeping the doors wide open for growth. As a community favorite of the Omidyar.net, Catalytic Communities received $5000 this year and a submission to the tech awards. These supports are terrific. Show me that this project really is a community favorite! Help us expand the database this year! Pledge $50 by December 28th. And, yes, there is a giveaway! David Braden along with Michael Herman and Jill Perkins have already won gifts from artisans in Rio! You might too! We are using pledgebank again this year after a successful drive last year. But this pledge will only go through if 50 people sign. If I can't get 50, then no one has to give anything! If you do give $50, and 50 of us do so together, then you leverage your $50 to have a $3000 impact through this challenge. And that is before it goes through the leveraging process of Catalytic Communities! *If* 50 other Omidyar.net and other friends of CatComm will each pledge $50or more, then I will pledge $500 in combined cash and service gifts to Catalytic Communities to reach out to community solutions in regions still uncovered by the CatComm site in 2007. Jean ~Nurture Girl~ Russell, Omidyar.net Member *More details:* $3000 allows Catalytic Communities to reach out to and support some 30 community projects in new regions around the world in 2007.see some of CatComm's victories, visit http://www.comcat.org/novo/conquistas.asp and check out the growth indicators at http://www.comcat.org/novo/conquistas.asp "Catalytic Communities represents the 'best of the best' technologists whose innovations benefit humanity, and we are thrilled to welcome them into our community of Tech Laureates," - Amanda Reilly of The Tech Museum of Innovation on CatComm's 2006 Tech Museum Award *Catcomm.pledgebank.com/OmidyarNET*<http://catcomm.pledgebank.com/OmidyarNET > This pledge closes on 28th December 2006. Thanks! Remember, you only have to act if 50 other people sign up that's what PledgeBank is all about. ****If you would like to contribute in the name of someone as a gift to them as well as to us, please let me know! We can word that in the signing process and create something beautiful for you to hand over as the gift.**** I would like to thank our current 13 pledgers for their leading support!
