So if you didn't see the show last night very early in the broadcast, I
think like the 2nd award, they gave out Best Song from a Movie. So I'm sitting
there watching and Justin Timberlake announces that Prince is the winner.
WOW! Nice. So the camera pans the crowd and theres an awkward coupla seconds
where it looks like Prince may be there and come up and then finally JT says
that Prince isn't there and he'll accept the award in his honor. Then JT did
something hilarious he squatted in front of the mic like he was really short
and said "Thank You" Oh Man I got a laugh out of that!
So then later in the broadcase Jamie Foxx gets up to give out an award and
he acknowledges some people in the crowd (Jay Z for one I remember) and he says
"Prince, cool outfit" but the camera showed P Diddy at that point so now I'm
like "wha?"
But then a little later I saw Prince in a crowd pan looking all fly in a
cool suit and then a few minutes later someone mentions him from the stage and
to give Prince a round of applause cause he got "stuck in traffic."
How friggin cool is our Man? He doesn't even show up on time for an award
show and he WINS!! Oh baby

PS - Can you imagine if there was a jam session last night at some after
party? Prince, Jay Z, Beyonce, Diddy, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy . . . heck I
even saw Michael Bolton in the crowd. Bring it Michael!
<Moderator: I forgot they were on last night. Golden Global awards are fun
to watch, They server food to the audience, but nobody eats out of fear of
getting caught on camera. But they do drink and drink a lot. Half way
through the show they are all trashed. Speeches become nonsensical and
slurred. Its a good time for all :-D -Derek>
