Prince Launches New Perfume

(CBS 3) HATBORO, Pa. Prince has a signature perfume coming out. The
scent goes on sale later this summer and it's already generating a lot
of buzz.
The color is purple, but the number isn't 1999 after prince's latest
album the scent and is nothing like a Raspberry beret.
"It's very signature prince. It's long lasting. It's sentual. It's
exotic," Larry Couey said.
The perfume is described as a refreshing floral scent that evolves
into Patchouli and creamy Sandalwood. It's a fragrance that Couey,
owner of Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics said Prince was heavily
involved in formulating.
"Our meetings have always been very candlelight type meeting. The
aroma is there. The lighting is there. The music is obviously there,"
Couey said.
Prince is a world class musician who's known for being a little eccentric.
"He wears it himself, all of his friends are wearing it. He puts it in
clubs when he plays," Couey said.
The Hatboro warehouse is where revelations packages Prince's newest
purple potion or juice as they call it in the industry.
So why here?
"Prince had decided that he wanted to work with a smaller firm," Couey
said.
It was a lucky break to produce a perfume who's name '3121' adds up to
the number seven available in select Macy's stores on 7-7-07.
