Whoops! It just showed up. This book weighs a ton! Yeah the quality of this
book is pretty. My cover
has mark on it. Binding definitely won't hold from regular use. I love
photography and the images are nice, but at initial scan there are Waaaaay
too many filler images.

I just looked through it and probably won't look through it again. Not
that
it wasn't good but not anything I need to see twice(not like the Lenny
Kravitz coffee table book which I continue to drool over)...loved the CD
though!

<Moderator: Besides Prince's performances I can't think of another Prince
product I bought in the last few years that I revisit frequently. He doesnt
seem to care about any of his products. It's just what kind of money he can
get from us suckers... -Derek>

Anyone taken a look at this yet? I am curious about the general response
to
it. Here's mine (shared with a couple of groups):

I love the man, always have
and will. But I am disappointed in the book. It seems poorly made because
of
the way the book's binding interfers with many otherwise wonderful photos.
Why
wouldn't that have been addressed in editing? It's not artistic; it's just
bad. The pics of London and the venue etc are a nice touch and are really
beautiful, but I don't appreciate so many photos of people I don't know or
care to have pictures of.

I am a hardcore fan, as some of you know, but the
book doesn't move me. Sure, a couple of pics of Prince are amazing....But
the problems are significant. IMHO.

On another subject, I continue to be
amazed, however, at the man's selective memory. Or put another way, the
tendancy he has to reinvent history. By my estimation this is his 4th book,
not his first.

<Moderator: I probably won't see mine till tomorrow so I guess I will
comment on the book itself then. I have already heard the CD and I am
enjoyed performance...

I just feel Marva King and that other chick get way too much time on it. I
don't really care for Prince's Protigies nowadays and wish most of them
would just go away. I don't see their add value give to his overall
performance. I guess it's just nice to accessories... -Derek>
