U didn't read the notes on the lyric book for the symbol album? There were several things he said in the song where he left notes on the side of that line validating the comment. One was a confirmation of the line "Epileptic 'til the age of 7" and another was, I believe a thank u to his foster mom Bernadette for the lessons he learned from her.
