Has anyone addressed competitively employed in the home, ranch, or farm
business and if so could you share it with us?

It is possible that youth will have moved and be working in another state.
Minimum wage rates vary by state. We suggest that interviewers note the
state where the former students lives and works.
http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.htm has information about minimum
wage rates by state that they can refer to. Montana is a state that
generally defers to the Federal Minimum Wage rate. See
http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/ or
http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/pdf/minwagebwP.pdf for basic
info on the Federal rate. In NYS there are several types of jobs that are
exempt from the basic minimum wage rate. Following are our current
questions about wages that try to determine if youth are receiving minimum
wage or prevailing wage. At the end of the series, your determined to be
earning minimum or prevailing wage continue with questions about current
participation in Postsecondary Education. If not earning minimum or
prevailing wage they are asked if the have had other employment since
leaving high school that was.

Q13. Are you paid at least Minimum Wage? Minimum wage rates vary by state.
Make note of the state where the former students lives and works.
http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.htm has information about minimum
wage rates by state.

Hi Jane,

Happy Holidays from Montana!

I have a few questions.

Has anyone developed a "script" for the Essential Questions and if so could
you share it with us? NPSO has not created a script; have others?

Has anyone defined "integrated setting" and if so could you share it with
us?

Has anyone determined if there is a "start" date for survey collection that
is acceptable, and if so could you share it with us? OSEP provided the
following directions in the Part B SPP/APR Indicator/Measurement Table: data
must be collect annually between April and September, inclusive.

Do you have examples of definitions of postsecondary school, including....
and if so could you share it with us? Does anyone have a definition to
share? OSEP provided the following directions in the Part B SPP/APR
Indicator/Measurement Table: A narrative that defines postsecondary school,
including: (a) type of school, education, or training; and (b) whether
enrollment is full- or part-time. Describe what constitutes full-time
enrollment.

Has anyone addressed competitively employed in the home, ranch, or farm
business and if so could you share it with us?

Thanks for your help!
