There is a very recent and informative article on the employment rate for people with disabilities. It answers several questions on measuring employment and unemployment, also addressed in the DOL study. It is easier to digest than the DOL review.

FIRST OFFICIAL DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT STATISTICS RELEASED



(February 6, 2009) Today, the U.S. Department of Labor released the
first
official data on the employment status of persons with disabilities.
In
January 2009, the employment rate for persons with disabilities was
23.1
percent. The unemployment rate for those with disabilities was 13.2
percent.
