Hi Ryan (and Everyone Else)~

For the Community of Practice (CoP), states share their PSO information
informally through the conversation with colleagues who are on the call. There
is no formal place to report PSO data on these calls. The NPSO CoP provides a
forum for states to celebrate successes, receive feedback, brainstorm ideas,
and problem solve via state-to-state sharing for all things relative to
Indicator 14.

Formally, the state’s response rate and representativeness are reported to OSEP
in the Annual Performance Report (APR) submitted February 1, 2012.

Looking forward to having you join the call~

Charlotte

Subject: [NPSO]: [NPSO] NPSO Reminder of Community of Practice Call July 14th
2011

Hi all: This is a reminder that our NPSO Community of Practice Teleconference
will be Thursday July 14th.

Topic: Response Rates/ NPSO Response Calculator

A critical issue to address as part of a state’s post-school data collection
relates to how representative the Respondent Group (those former students who
respond to the survey) are in comparison to the Target Leaver Group (a
representative sample of a population or a census of the total population) of
school leavers who had IEPs. NPSO staff will facilitate a conversation about
post-school outcomes data collection, particularly response rates and
representativeness. This is a great time to share ideas across states. We look
forward to hearing from you.

Please be prepared to share what is happening in your state.
