National Post School Outcome Data Community of Practice -------------------------------------------------------

The meeting will be an opportunity for interdisciplinary state teams (or representatives from your interdisciplinary state teams) to consider progress and updates to the plans updated or developed in May, 2012 at the Capacity Building Institute in Charlotte. The content and work time will focus on using data to identify specific improvement activities (SPP/APR and CB Plans) and collecting data on the impact of those improvement activities. The National Post-School Outcomes Center, the National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center, and the National Dropout Prevention Center for Students with Disabilities will lead the meeting. Participants will leave with a tighter connection between the data States collect and the plans developed to improve those data. The meeting will provide State teams with a) content knowledge on enhancing effective secondary programs to improve students’ in and post-school outcomes through work with national centers and other States b) knowledge of strategies for data collection, reporting, and use across SPP/APR Part B Indicators 1, 2, 13, and 14 (and others) c) a process for continuous improvement to build the capacity of systems that prepare students for success in college and careers d) opportunities to problem-solve with other State teams and TA Providers around issues that are encouraging or impeding progress to build capacity that will improve student outcomes Please contact Catherine Fowler, chfow...@uncc.edu<mailto:chfow...@uncc.edu>, at NSTTAC with any questions or comments.
