I apologize for multiple emails if you receive them. We were getting bounce
back on this end and were unsure if everyone received this message. This is a
reminder that the next SLDS Community of Practice Call will be held tomorrow,
July 17th, 2014. The topic will be Privacy and SLDS. Baron Rodriguez from the
Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will be presenting on privacy issues
related to accessing and sharing data across systems.
Please join us tomorrow for the NPSO's Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems
(SLDS) COP. This SLDS COP will focus on privacy issues related to accessing
and sharing data across systems. The focus will be on "debunking the myths"
related to FERPA and SLDS. Additionally, policy around data sharing at the
state and local levels will be discussed, including postsecondary education and
vocational rehabilitation.
