Hi all, I'm trying to evaluate TCP performance within ad hoc network environment. I generate FTP traffic on TCP connections. I'm using NS-2.27. The problem that I have is: I'd like to send a fixed amount of data on each TCP connection (I have 14 TCP connections in my simulations scenario), but the transmission of FTP does not stop at the fixed number, it continue to transmit until the end of the simulation. I read the ns manual and it was helpful but it stills the case. Another issue is that, sometimes some connections stop the transmission after sending the required amount of data and the others continue the transmission. And when i rerun the simulation under tha same conditions, those that worked well before don't stop as expected and those that had not stop work very well.
It's not normal, is it? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Alaa Ghaleb
