I am wondering what sort of ns2 Agent/node/combination I would need to
use to implement a model of an NCS (Network Control System). For
example, I would like to implement a model that allows me to monitor
such things as:
(1) Sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator delays. Consider all
sensors and actuators
as a whole, i.e., do not consider a single sensor or actoator. Have
some plots of the delays
verus packet sequence numbers or time, and interprete the results.
(2) Sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator jitters. Again,
consider all sensors and ac-
tuators as a whole. Have some plots, and interprete the results.
(3) Network utilisation as a percentage of the network capacity. You may
need to evaluate net-
work utilisation for the computer side, sensors/actuators side, and
P2P link, respectively.
(4) Average throughput at an actuator of your choice.
(yes this is part of a uni assignment :-)
So, I am wondering what sort of object I need to use in order to model
such a network?
