Hello, I would like to install ns into my computer, but I have some problems. I have the latest version of Ubuntu (6.10) and I follow instruction of this site (http://wiki.splitbrain.org/ns2 ) to install components (Tclcl, Otcl, ns and Nam). I have no problem for Tclcl and Otcl, but I can't compile ns (I download their latest version). For ns, I have this error:
/usr/bin/ld: ns: hidden symbol `__stack_chk_fail_local' in /usr/lib/libc_nonshared.a(stack_chk_fail_local.oS) is referenced by DSO /usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Nonrepresentable section on output collect2: ld returned 1 exit status I search on Internet and I find this link ( http://nsnam.isi.edu/nsnam/index.php/Troubleshooting) and I have the same problem (my processor is an Intel core 2 Duo and I follow instructions with gcc 4.0, but it worth : "./configure" of these programs doesn't work). If you have an idea, you are welcome. Bye PS: Sorry for typing errors, I'm a french student ;-) -- Cordialement, Mr PANIEZ Matthieu.
