Dear All There are certainly a lot of thread in this archive asking about changing the node ranges beyond the default and they have been answered many time with many suggestions. This question however keeps popping up over time leading me to wonder whether anyone ever got it working for ranges *beyond 1km.*
This is just a suggest, but can someone post up a *working example of a tcl file *with *detailed instructions *as to the procedures, *parameters (and which files these parameters are found in*) that require changing to achieve it. It can be just a basic template tcl that give people something to work off. It seems to me that simply changing RXThresh_, Pt_, Gt_, Gr_, CSThresh_, etc in WirelessPhy are not the only things that require doing (and yes that includes using threshold.cc). I've seen a reply that suggests changing the 'range' parameter in setdest.cc and the DSSS_SIFS parameters. There is also a 'range' parameter in god.cc. Do these need changing??? Sincerely Joyce
