For any of the error control folk out there do you
know how the FEC algorithm in FEC.cc works??
int bit = hdr_cmn::access(p)->size()*8
FECbyte_=(int)(log(bit)/log(2))
FECbyte *= FECstrength_
FECbyte_ = (FECbyte_ + 7)/8;
I cannot understand what is being done there.Why do we
have a (FECbyte_ + 7)/8 .Is it specific to a
particular FEC sheme.
Also is the FECstrength_ parameter used for
introducing bit errors ( in the errormodel.cc code)
