Hello! I am completely new in ns-2. I've just installed it and gone through
Marc Greis' Tutorial.
I need to simulate, let's say, several independent AP-based 802.11 g
networks, where the AP's (and mobile nodes -child nodes) would be
Poisson-like distributed. In my case, it represents a building with rooms,
with AP in each. So, users are using these AP based 802.11 g networks
independently. Mobile nodes (notebooks) are not moving.
The question is, that I have to make a model of this type of complex network
and see, how different independent networks affect each other (in terms of
interference, collision and so on). The goal is to make a conclusion in the
end and to say what will be gained if networks actually cooperate and share
the medium in a more sophisticated way.
I would be very grateful to anyone who can provide me with help, because as
I have said, it is very difficult for me to model in ns-2, being a complete
beginner and having little experience in programming!
Thanks in advance!
Ivan.
