Dear Illidan and Ivan, I also faced the same problem earlier and found a simple solution. Actually, there seems to be a trivial bug as reported (with solution) in http://mailman.isi.edu/pipermail/ns-users/2008-December/064100.html. Unfortunately I got no response from ns-users nor from ns-developers list.
