Hi, I saw that in the DSR implementation of NS2, promiscous listening for source routes and automatic route shortening is by default enabled. In real life scenarios (sensor networks, etc...), is it enabled? I'm wondering this because I know that promiscous listening consumes more power, and maybe in battery-operated devices it might not be worth it...
