Hi list, I need to simulate traffic which resembles iid Bernoulli arrivals with a given rate and fixed frame size. I tried a Poisson traffic model, but my results did not completely match the ones I wanted to reproduce, though the overall behavior was similar. I am suspecting a traffic issue, and someone suggested I should try to generate traffic using a binomial model. I have looked around the web, but have not been able to find anything on this: is it possible to generate binomial traffic using ns-2, and has someone already done it before?
I would appreciate any pointers, and any suggestions as to how else I could simulate the i.i.d Bernoulli arrivals. Thanks, Prajjwal
