I need to run ns2-2.34-allinone on a machine with 16 gig of RAM because I need to simulate 24 hours of http traffic and Otcl is not known to have a garbage collection function due to its design as a dynamic scripting language. The problem is that the validation of ns2 test-all-webcache fails, generating a different output compared to the test-output or generating severe tcl errors.
I tried installing it on a 32 bit Ubuntu 10.04 machine and validation of ns2 works just fine in the 32 bit machine. (Both 64 bit ubuntu and fedora have more or less the same errors in the validation testing) ./test-all-sctp ./test-all-srm ./test-all-hier-routing ./test-all-algo-routing ./test-all-mcast ./test-all-vc ./test-all-session ./test-all-mixmode ./test-all-webcache ./test-all-mcache ./test-all-plm Same problem here:http://mailman.isi.edu/pipermail/ns-users/2004-June/043180.html Are there any additional steps required when installing ns2 in a 64 bit machine? Can you suggest any other ideas around my predicament? Thanks in advance! -Christopher Jon Belviz
