[ns] Trace file

hey all
can anyone please help me out or provide me with a link that does... I am
trying to add a new position column to the default trace file format .. is
it possible to display and record the position of each node in my
simulation in the trace file and how can I do it ? does that require making
changes in trace/cmu-trace (.h,.cc) ?
