[ns] NS2 current queue length

I want to implement an agent in NS2 where an end host sends a message to
the switch node and the switch sends back the current queue length (similar
to the openflow statistics collection in Mininet). However, I am not able
to get the reference to the queue at my agent. any help? is it even
possible in NS2?
