Hello to our many Boomer friends, Late last year the market crash un-retired and un-RVed us.
This was after almost 5 years of FTing. We managed to visit 42 states. We retreated from Florida to the chilly Buffalo, NY area that we are from. We've been fortunate to have both landed good IT jobs. We signed a one year lease on a very nice, one story, patio home. Our MH is up for sale at PPL motorhomes in Houston (http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/classa/2004-Allegro-Bay-By-Tiffin-15059.htm). Some nibbles, but no sale yet. All in all, we've moved back into our former lives fairly easily, not counting the hectic trips from Florida to Texas to Buffalo and the move of our belongings by a less than satisfactory mover. There are many family members and friends here which makes the adjustment easier. We now look back at our 5 years as a "mid life sabbatical". We did start (in 2004) a little early with me at 50 and Brenda a few years younger. Guess we need to put some more time into the world of w*rk. All who have permanently escaped the 9-5 scene are very lucky, IMHO. Count your blessings every morning that an alarm clock doesn't go off. ;-) If you get near Buffalo/Niagara Falls, please contact us. Boomer fixes are very welcome. Thanks to all who have written!
