Since you're still new to all this, do not mix things. You'll struggle even more. If you have a plan to sign your zones soon, then I suggest you start with Knot DNS. It's a really good authoritative DNS server, and it does DNSSEC signing. It has very good documentation, and an equally helpful community and mailing list.
