Dear All Thanks to everyone for the ideas and suggestions. I think I see a way forward, and will start compiling some exercises for myself. Just one more question, though; Julia and John referred to =B3Peacock patterns=B2 - does the phrase have any meaning more specific than just the patterns of notes that crop up fairly commonly in Peackcock=B9s tune and variations? Dim question, I suppose, but I just wondered if it was used to indicate any specific sets of patterns/phrases?
Anyway, back to the exercises ... Beats the Cup Final! Many thanks again Roger -- To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
