New question #37154 on NSsbackup:
https://answers.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+question/37154

How about using dar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAR_%28Disk_Archiver%29)
instead of tar?
- It is far superior and much better suited for backups.
- It would also bring functionality of the blueprints for backup-encryption and
can do disk-spanning (splitting the archives to smaller files).
- It also has integrated support for incremental backups and is much faster
when restoring files.

Cheers,
Martin
