Binary package hint: sbackup
Every once in a while I will check to see if Sbackup is still making
backups. Usually it is, but sometimes it is not. ("The selected
destination is not writtable..." is its favorite error.)
If it tries to make a backup and fails, it should pop up a notification
so the user is aware that they aren't being protected.
