I did modify by hand my nssbackup.conf as follows: [general] splitsize = 4096000 target = /media/KINGSTON format = none mountdir = /mnt/nssbackup purge = log maxincrement = 7 lockfile = /var/lock/nssbackup.lock
that' a copy of a previous Ubuntu 9.04 upgraded to 9.10, which presumably worked.
