Hi Pete,
no, there is not a single Ubuntu-ism in SBackup. You need to install a recent
version of package 'python-gobject'. It is a part of Glib,
the core library used to build GTK+ and GNOME. This package contains the Python
bindings for GObject. Have a look at the Install file for further information
about dependencies.
