Thanks for your response. I've comitted a fix for
https://bugs.launchpad.net/sbackup/+bug/588578 which prevented sending
of emails via gmail. However, your issue is unrelated, I guess.
What settings do you use? Do you use 'smtp.gmail.com' as server?
