Indeed this was the case for sbackup before 0.11.x. It is now installed as
application in compliance with Gnome guidelines. Please have a look at FAQ
#1322 (https://answers.launchpad.net/sbackup/+faq/1322).
> Launching from Applications menu I cannot modify any parameters
