@Alvin Ho (alfkh): maybe it is better to stick to a LTS version (currently 12.04) with long term support and stability? As a side note from the developer view: same holds for me...things are working and suddenly stop with a new version of the distribution (therefore I'm running Debian now). This takes a lot of effort to test pre-release...Help is welcome...
