It's clear the strategy is to buy players that are not quite the finished
article and then polish them into something more valuable.  Like buying land
on the site of an old chemical factory and building a load of Redrow homes.

Football doesn't come into it anymore.  It's all about generating enough
cash to be able to buy Liverpool FC
